<span style="color: #343434; font-family: Verdana, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 17.3333339691162px;">Oils are having a ‘moment’. From slippery skincare cleansers to gloss-giving lip oils (which are being touted as the latest beauty slick sensations), people are saying ole to oils. It’s generally accepted that oils are essential for healthy, moisturized and balanced skin. After all, they’ve been used for centuries across different cultures. </span></span></div>

You might want to calm anxiety via chamomile, or to nourish inflamed skin with lavender, and bring some equilibrium into your life courtesy of lemongrass. With oils, there’s a ‘cure-all’ waiting. </span></span></div>

<span style="color: black; font-family: Calibri;">As we
contemplate our New Year resolutions, do they include - combating stress and / addiction?
Loosing weight? Accepting a current relationship isn’t working and it is this
that is getting in the way of you being your best self? Well, I’m not a huge
fan of New Year resolutions as for the most, you set yourself up for failure. A
well documented fact, any change in your life takes time to adjust to and
commit to that behavior; hence it would be far more effective to think of how
you can use this opportunity to set your mind on ways to live a full and
healthy life. So … here is where my sage advice comes in - w</span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">hat I’ve done here with Ayurveda is apply aspects
of this ancient knowledge system to our modern day dilemmas, things we may be
contemplating as we move into a new and exciting year, and detailed, through
hard work and commitment, the kind of results you may achieve. </span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Your</span></b><span style="color: black; font-family: Calibri;">
current life path is full of negativity, rather than positivity – you feel </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed,
arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies and false pride. You
abuse a substance hoping to recreate a high, make yourself happier, or solve
your problems, only to find yourself in the same place, or even a worse one, as
all the times before. <span style="color: black;">You feel tension and are
constantly stuck, unable to b</span>reak free from the grasp of your
dependency.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Ayurveda</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> promotes
positive thinking but also acknowledges the battle that goes on inside people.
Why do we keep repeating a cycle that always ends poorly? Why does the insanity
of addiction have such a hold on us? The exact answers to those questions will
differ from person to person, but there are some fundamental Ayurvedic
principles that explain what fuels addiction. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Sage wisdom </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">is to help
you acknowledge that addiction is a chronic yet treatable disorder, whether
this is focusing on your emotional quotidian (EQ) or brain function. Each time
you engage in an abusive experience, you lower the life energy (prana) within
your body. The healing process can be very long and painful. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Modern day example:</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">
Someone who has spoken candidly about heroin, abstinence and addiction is
Russell Brand. A recovering drug addict, it is 10 years since he used drugs or
drank alcohol and he himself says his life has immeasurably improved, “I have a
job, a house, a cat, good friendships and generally a bright outlook.” </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">My Ayurvedic diagnosis:</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">
From an environmental and psychological point of view, I’d say Russell is a
true ‘vata’ – the most vulnerable to addiction and stress. Composed of half
ether and half air, vata is known as the governor because it moves everything
in your body – all nerve impulses, the movement of food in your digestive tract,
muscle contractions, heartbeats and so on, would be impossible without
it. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Why do vatas have these issues?</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"> Vata is located mostly in your colon and when
working well, gives your nervous system the ability to exchange messages and
enables your body to digest food and eliminate your bodily wastes. But when it
is disturbed, the senses are deprived of energy, which over time leads to
toxicity in the body. Unremitting stress leads to severe agitation and if you
continue down this path, it can lead to high cholesterol, hypertension and
heart disease. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Sage advice </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Keep
grounded, working with various holistic health modalities, such as yoga and
light forms of meditation. More people would learn from their mistakes if we
weren't so busy denying them, and embrace joy, peace, love, hope, serenity,
humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and
faith! </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Try considering this:</span></b><b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"> </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;">When vata is out of balance, it
leads to derangement of the mind. This individual finds it difficult to pull on
their own internal wisdom and judgment, and they get easily swayed by desire
and excess. Vata dosha has the attributes of the wind and can, like the wind,
be increased, decreased, deviated or obstructed. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><u><span style="color: maroon; font-family: Calibri;">Longing for a relationship that lasts</span></u></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">You</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> settled with the
one that wasn’t really meant to work out, and you keep your hopes up that
things will change for the better. Then there is the one that got away! And the
one who taught you all you need to know about love, but didn’t want to stay
put.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Ayurveda</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> promotes the
idea that there is a ‘lesson’ in all our experiences. It also teaches that
sexual desire is ultimately a yearning for an unconditional loving relationship
between ourselves and the divine: a spiritual connection that will satiate all
our desires.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Sage wisdom</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> is to first
take you back to positive images of love and the expression of a thirst for
intimacy, touch and tenderness. It is borne out of a need to feel loved
unconditionally, as a baby is loved. Then to look at the independent values we
seek for a meaningful loving union. Moving you to the understanding of bonding
that true satiation arises from the union of emotions, body and soul. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Modern day example: </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">Myleene
Klass and Graham Quinn</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Why can’t celebrity love go the distance? Not a week
goes by without a celebrity split, and I’m sure it must be hard to maintain a
relationship in the limelight. I think of grueling work schedules and the
pressures of being under the microscope. A recent case is that of Myleene and
Graham Quinn. They'd been dating 11 years and had two children together before
they married in October last year. But, after just seven months as husband and
wife, the pair split and things turned nasty. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">My Ayurvedic diagnosis: </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">From
the outside, it seems to me they are both pittas – the flames of passion
overwhelm the pitta couple! An intelligent, ambitious and opinionated force
together, the pitta couple is just as passionate in the boardroom as they are
in the bedroom. To keep their force strong, it’s best they are both on the same
team. But could Graham have been threatened by Myleene's success? Did they
marry to try and save their relationship? </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Why to pitas have these issues:</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: 11.0pt;"> During the aggravation stage,
pitta fills up the seat of pitta – the digestive tract – which leads to
constant irritability and excessive body heat.</span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">Ayurveda</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">, first and foremost,
teaches us how to love ourselves and accept our genetic ‘prakruti’. We are each
born with a unique constitution, technically known as a dosha, of vata, pitta
or kapha. Trying to change this generally takes us away from the positive
feelings we get from feeling in ‘tune’ with ourselves. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">Sage wisdom </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-font-family: Arial;">is to </span><span style="font-family: Calibri;">encourage you to focus on recognising and changing
what you believe about yourself. Teaching you to learn to love your body. This
is an internal job. It is a decision to be kind to yourself. In this state,
you’ll then be able to follow a workable diet to help you shed the excess
pounds and get that sexy, confident appeal back. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Modern day example:</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> Rob
Kardashian. Rob admits his ballooning weight gain is down to food addiction,
which has made him depressed and embarrassed about his efforts of getting into
the fashion industry. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">My Ayurvedic diagnosis: </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">kapha
imbalance. If your primary dosha is kapha, you’re probably laid back and easy
going. You have strong bones and good teeth. Your skin is pale and thick, so
you don’t wrinkle easily. But you are prone to weight gain and you have a job
to shift it. Because of your natural tendency to not move much, your metabolism
is slow, along with your ability to digest both ideas and food. Nonetheless,
your strength is legendary, and you are capable of hard work. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Why do Kaphas have these issues?</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;"> These individuals include those of us who are naturally rounded and
curvaceous – more Kate Winslet than Kate Moss. Their metabolism is slow which
means any calorie intake takes a long time to shift. Kaphas are also naturally
kind and loving, and when they feel lonely or low, they find solace in food –
and with a sweet tooth, they are drawn to highly calorific foods, which can
have the effect of building adipose tissue. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Sage advice </span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">is to help
you with attachment and greed and pacify your cravings for sweet and salty
tastes. Part of the chemistry behind taking control of the kapha demons is to
understand how hormone leptin stimulates the hypothalamus (the brains centre of
appetite and metabolic rate). This process goes wrong when leptin resistance
steps in. The body loses its natural intelligence (known as tejas) and the
kapha constitution piles on the pounds. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;"><span style="color: red; font-family: Calibri;">Try considering this:</span></b><span style="font-family: Calibri;">
to put a stop to leptin resistance, develop a diet plan which avoids certain
foods and aids digestion. The main foody culprits are starchy carbohydrates
found in pasta and bread. Consider also introducing some lifestyle changes as
your mood swings may be due feeling the urge to eat all the time, having the
effect of then making you feel drained. It is beneficial to get up early in the
morning and go for a long walk or light paced run. This will get your energy
moving and reduce the stomach fire (jathar agni).</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<span style="font-family: Calibri;">Wishing you a joyous new year, a new beginning, full
of things that have never been ... <i>ideally</i> your new chapter that has just begun! </span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">It’s been a while since I
have blogged, 4-mths to the date. As I sit here in my studio, I feel today is
the perfect day for change. I want to step into the 2013 action plan I thought
about over the Christmas period, but haven’t quite put into play yet! I have
this theory that actually, it is better to en.act ones New Year resolution a
month in to the New Year, as most would not have kept it on January 1st,
and the momentum increases as the days roll on. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">We are also exactly one month
into the new Solar Year! What, I hear some of you say, is that? Well, in astronomical
circles, 21/12/12 was chosen as the as the end of the Mayan cycle due to the
Maya’s knowledge of the equinoxes and their revolution around the sun. You will
have seen mainstream media commenting on this date as the ‘end of the world’ –
well, we are still here! So I guess this wasn’t really the message. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">The calendar depicts an
ending that is new beginning. An understanding of the position of our solar
system in relation to the Milky Way reveals to us a development state of
humanity as a whole! OK – so this is getting a bit deep. And I don’t to preach.
Promise! But how prey, do we fit into all this Milky Way stuff?</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia;">‘As transformation, triggered by the completion of
the Great Cycle has already taken place, signaled by a shift in the resonating
frequency, this shift announces the end of a Great Cycle and gives premonition of
the brilliance of our galactic, solar and planetary reality in the following
era which begins with 2012 AD’. </span></i></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">WOW! This is all sounding
awesome to me! So what’s next?</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"><span style="font-family: Georgia;">‘Our planet thus enters into its next evolutionary
phase, securing itself a place as a new member of the galactic community.’</span></i></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">So, with this great news, I
have been waiting for some sense of spirit to envelop me and guide me towards my
next move, as we all come together to work collectively! As you can see, I am
still waiting…</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">But with the month passed
since 21/12/12, I have given great thought to what this message means in
practical terms, and what it holds for me. 2013 is a year where we may all find
what we desire, whatever we need, we can make it happen. But, it will take work
on our part. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">I have been reminded of
things that I had experienced in the past and had challenged me, but what I now
understand is I was challenged for a purpose. These times brought change in me,
and I have changed for the better. And I strive for excellence. I have come to
create goods things around me, for good things to then blossom. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Georgia;">So with the blessings that
come with time, growth and change, let’s seek deep roots, think long term,
support generations, provide strong foundations, to build something that will
last …. forever? </span></div>

<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">Over
the years, I've had so many contacts with people whos work is energy based, teaching
yoga, Ayurveda, meditation, self development and entrepreneurship in particular
that when I reached out to a presenter of a Spa and Wellbeing organisation
recently, I felt that I should talk about what I call the business of
connecting humans to various expressions of meaning.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">I'm
always surprised to notice and observe how Spas connect with their clients. Spas
create an environment to enhance a feeling of bliss; they construct a building and
develop surroundings to offer visitors a unique immersive setting to unwind,
chill out and forget about the world. But the relationship we cultivate with
ourselves is quite possibly the most important one we will experience in our
lifetime. Over the course of human history, cultures and traditions have
established systems to support and assist our discovery of who we are and ways
in which we can establish and connect to our inner balance: physically,
mentally, emotionally and spiritually</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">My
interest has always been to establish connections with the inside and the
outside! From the outside, we can draw conclusions that the Spas preoccupation
for art and the creative expression in the marketing material is at best remote
unless linked intelligently to inner wellbeing. When, as a client, you are encouraged to
explore the two together, maybe you'll recognise an area of imbalance in
yourself that you can then work on addressing.</span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">If
I was asked to lead a creative Wellness project of any size, my focus would be
to bring fresh and vibrant artistic and creative expression to the design. To
me, whether you are the leading Spa venue in Timbuktu or the best secret retreat in la la
land, you must show curiosity and passion for creative therapeutic surprises or
move on to another job. The point of any presenting Wellbeing house is not strategy
or survival, but the creation of a sacred, daring space where the creative and therapeutic
cultures and expressions of the world are presented to an audience so that a new conversation can start or continue. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">This
can lead to fostering creative conversations leading to social, aesthetic,
playful insights on us and our worlds, as well as supporting the business of Wellbeing!
We are in the business of connecting humans to themselves and therefore to meaning. So if connecting with
humans is a problem in the first place because you are too busy maintaining the
bricks in place and you establish your presenting Wellbeing house as an institution to
the very Wellbeing professionals who are the source of your life force, why not take the time and trouble to be present, shift your focus to a vibrant,
thought provoking, inspiring therapeutic hub. </span></div>

<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">I’ve been a learning a lot this week from some very
clever techy people – they told me about web analytics, customer intelligence, hypothesis
generation and software integration! Ah yes, I’m sure your eyes are rolling
just as mine have been! The idea is that ‘we’ [Tri-Dosha] can integrate some of
these ideas into our day to day functions to make developing, producing and passing
on our lovely products and services to you much easier to do. With no technical
brain space, we shall see if I am able to accommodate this new information! For
now, I think I will stick to the touch feely stuff – massage, gorgeous smelling
products, yummy yoga and sustainability! This, I certainly do know about and it
has given me a grounding for conscious living. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">I learnt some other cool stuff as well, from my younger
sister who also happens to be a primary school teacher. She told me about the
Government initiative to help parents educate children on how the media alters
images and to inspire them to be confident in their bodies. It made me ask the
question, how on earth have we got to a point where we actually need to
implement this kind of strategy? Are we that far away from being connected to
ourselves, our true image, and being ok with it? It made me think of the
information we receive from the ancient texts and the teachings I have had a
long the way from my mentors in alternative and complementary therapies, which
always highlighted the notion that health and happiness comes from experiencing
the ‘truth of life’ where every moment of that day can be filled with love,
peace and authenticity. </span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span lang="EN-GB" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">I then did some research on Ayurveda for Children and
came across a quote from </span><span style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">Elbert
Hubbard (writer, publisher, artist, and philosopher) who said, “The object of
teaching is to enable a child to get along without his teacher.” While many of us
read this quote and agree with it, we may not quite grasp its full meaning or
its connection to Ayurveda. Ayurveda supports the notion that we are more than just
physical, treating each person individually. And to ‘heal’ any imbalance
promotes greater awareness and get's us connected to who we truly are. </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">So let’s promote
yoga, breathing techniques, self awareness modules, good nutrition, and conscious
living to our children. The more balanced we feel, the more we can experience
the love and beauty of each moment of each day.</span></div>

little Tri-Dosha treasure – fans of our Miracle Balm are telling me it’s great

<br />
<span lang="EN" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt; mso-ansi-language: EN;">I’ve been a bit quiet on here for the last week or so. With our home and
office being re-decorated, there has been a huge amount of re-organization
going on at lots of levels. The house has had a major reshuffle to accommodate the
machinery we require for our manufacture and this has prompted a general
process of sorting and consolidation. It’s a great opportunity to get rid of
things that no longer serve us, to throw them out or pass them along. My environment
is very important to me, being ‘Pitta’ in nature, I like things to be simple,
minimalist and calm around me. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>But when
my ‘Vata’ gets out of balance, the level of disorder is at times difficult to
live with! </span><br />
<br />
<span lang="EN" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">For example, over the last couple of days it’s been very exciting as the
relaxation area has started to take shape and I have a real sense of
satisfaction as I start to visualize the finished work! I really can’t wait! I
share my space with my wonderful Pitta / Kapha sister, who also happens to be a
Scorpio. We have put off re-decoration for some time, sub-consciously probably
thinking we would have settled down with the man of our dreams at this point in
our lives (closer to forty years and than to thirty years) but… as it is with the
way of the world, things unfold as they meant to. And, for now, we are un-coupled,
enjoying the dynamics of London,
and still… LIVING TOGETHER! </span><br />
<br />
<span lang="EN" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">At least our home should be rewarded because of it !!!</span><br />
<br />
<span lang="EN" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">Now, pretty much my whole life I have been considered a mature
person. Being the eldest daughter of four females gives a heightened sense of
responsibility. But, as I approach forty, I feel like I become more child like,
and it feels great! A new found sense of ‘liberation’ is constantly awakening
in me, with a greater sense of peace as time moves on. It is a kind of
self-contained liberation from challenging emotions, and at times, lack of
energy, that can hold me back from living at the level that I know I can, and building
the life I dream of.</span><br />
<br />
<span lang="EN" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">But then, it’s not just about ‘me’. But it’s easy to think it is - to think
that our lives are disconnected and therefore have little effect on others. But
as a teacher, a health / wellness consultant, a founder of a brand, a sister
of three, a daughter of two, a friend of many, ones success in life depends on one
shifting the focus. So the focus is on the way forward, rather than the mental
road blocks.</span><br />
<br />
<span lang="EN" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">This week I did face huge infrastructure challenge. I won’t bore you with
details, but I think without wisdom and honoring the message I relay in this
blog, I’m not sure if I would have got through it! It again reminded me that with
imagination, creativity and love, we can make an amazing contribution to this
world and all the people, animals, beings - etc - we serve whilst we are here. </span><br />
<br />
<span lang="EN" style="font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">Much love, Sunita x</span><br />

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white;">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;"><br />Well, however you
want to describe, I felt LOVE this week. Watching the live Olympic ceremony come
to a close, leaving the nation spell bound, I was amazed by the mood created,
‘happy and glorious’ as described by Jacques Rogge, IOC (International Olympic
Committee) President. Though – 'of course' – this is an occasion where competitors
are top of their game, producing some of the most memorable moments in history,
everyone just seemed to GET ON! So many different nationalities all under one
roof, hugs between competitors at the end of their events, self less support by
the volunteers, ELECTRIC energy … As the party drew to a close, it was time to
take down the bunting and hand over to Rio De Janeiro. What a feeling of Olympic
magic!</span></span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="background: white;">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">What I know about
love I have mostly learned through teaching. In seven years of training
practitioners, I've seen what love can do in the most ordinary moments (a
therapist wanting to help and heal a client) and the most extraordinary (an
email from a therapist offering their services to strangers in the aftermath of
hurricane Katia which hit the North of England in Sept, 11). Whenever you've
been touched by love, a heart-print lingers, so that you're always reminded of
the feeling of being cared for, knowing that, to someone, you mattered.

<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">Love has unlimited
ways for you to receive, and as we come to a close of two of the most
magnificent weeks in British life, since I have been alive, and no doubt, the
thumping hangover GB will be now be feeling, lets hope that LOVE acts as the
magic hangover cure, and the momentum created will send long lasting ripples
throughout the world. </span></span></div>

special month for us as it marks our 7th birthday. Since 2005, we
have enjoyed seven Tri-Dosha years of educating therapists in Ayurvedic
treatments and coaching techniques, and we have partnered with many farming
communities and organic suppliers in sourcing herbal ingredients to develop
skincare formulas above and beyond expectation! From our classic collection of
three oils vata (relax), pitta (soothe) and kapha (energise) to our bathing
collection launched in 2009 with the award-winning Scarlet Spa! As a boutique
brand, we have not sought to win competitions or chased PR to advance our
credentials in your eyes, but have instead focused on a </span></span><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">fresh, honest

<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">For our birthday
celebrations, we took ourselves off to see the world’s top female trampolinists
bouncing, twisting and spinning about in the North Greenwich Arena in the O2
centre. The gold was won by Canadian Rosannagh MacLennan, after the defending
champion, He Wenna of China, stumbled in her final routine. It was
Canada’s first gold of the games!
BUT… did you know trampolining did not exist before the 1930’s and MIGHT NOT
have existed at all if George P Nissen had not decided to fit out his garage
with a fancy new device on which to practice his tumbling. Nissen, a member of a
travelling acrobatics troupe called the Three Leonardos, had noticed on his
travels that acrobats worked on their spins by springing on their safety nets
and resolved to rustle up something bouncy out of canvas.

<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">This took me back to
my journey with Tri-Dosha, which also may not exist today had I not been
stubborn enough to believe that could evolve alternative training
concepts and also come up with skincare formulas blending classical medicinal
herbs with oozy and aromatic oils – something which had not been before. This
week has reminded me what great sacrifices people make for things that they
believe in. When an artist gets their ‘first’ break, it is probably after many
years of tuna sandwiches, and emotionally charged days and nights; when I first
started to ‘feel’ Tri-Dosha was a living and breathing enterprise, it was after
years of traipsing the country, with massage beds in the boot of my hire car,
addressing audiences in dilapidated venues around the country; when MacLennan
won the gold on Saturday, I’m sure it would be hard for us to count the cost
this has had on her personal life! The dedication required to reach such heights
requires a steely stomach! </span></span></div>

to not under-estimate the journey one takes with a goal in mind.

<strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt; font-weight: normal; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">What a week this has been, with
the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games, and G.B off to a fantastic start in
many of its categories. The Tri-Dosha team was able to get into the spirit of
the games as we lined the relay route and cheered the official torchbearer to our
area, Laura Swarbrooke. </span></strong><strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">O</span></strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">ne of Coca-Cola’s 1,300 Future Flames. She was
chosen as an official London 2012 Olympic Torchbearer via Coca-Cola’s Future
Flames campaign, which recognizes and rewards the positive contributions young
people make every day in their local communities by giving them the once in a
lifetime opportunity to carry the Olympic Flame. It’s not surprising she was honored
with the chance - Laura achieved a silver medal at the 2010 Taekwondo World
Championships. A keen volunteer, she works at various play groups and primary
and secondary schools where she helps with arts and crafts activities as well
as school trips. Laura is the medical care assistant to an insulin dependent child,
AND she also teaches netball, running, swimming and P.E. </span><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt; font-weight: normal;">Inspired by Laura’s story, my blog this week highlights three golden rules to live by… if Laura has a manual
guiding her through her life, I have a feeling these will be in it: </span></strong><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">a. Treasure
your body for it is the vessel that guides you through your life. </span></strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;"></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">You may think
that money or success is important, but nothing is as important as your own
body. Without it you can’t live. Make it a habit to eat a healthy and natural
diet, be sure to exercise regularly and above all get plenty of sleep. Also try
to keep your life as stress-free as possible, stress makes you age faster and make
you old before your time.</span><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">b. Success
requires hard work, persistence and a little creativity. </span></strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;"></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">The best
advice I can give you if you want to be successful is to not hope for a quick
fix but to be prepared for the long haul. Real success with anything usually
takes months and even years to achieve. Believe in yourself and believe in your
dreams, keep learning and never give up. Try to find yourself a mentor to speed
the learning process up. Sooner or later you’ll achieve your goals.</span><br />
<br />
<strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">c. Make
a difference to a least one other person’s life.</span></strong><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;"></span><br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11.0pt;">I believe that
we’re all on this planet together. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life" target="_blank"><span style="color: black;">Life</span></a> isn’t meant to be
completely selfish, we’re here to give to and help each other. Right now there
are countless people who could use a helping hand so why not give back a
little? You don’t necessarily have to give money. You can give some of your
time or experience to help someone else with something you’ve already overcome.
Helping someone else is one of the most rewarding things you can do.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">Follow ‘the
rules to live by’ and you will find yourself succeeding to live the best life!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">Much love, </span><br />

come across great articles and websites that you just want everyone to know

<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">I couldn’t wait to

stages along the River Thames, check out: <a href="http://festival.london2012.com/index.php" title="blocked::http://festival.london2012.com/index.php"><span style="color: black;" title="blocked::http://festival.london2012.com/index.php"><span style="color: black;" title="blocked::http://festival.london2012.com/index.php">http://festival.london2012.com/index.php</span></span></a>.
It’s going to be a summer in London like no other as the capital gets set to
celebrate the <a href="http://www.london2012.com/" title="blocked::http://www.london2012.com/"><span style="color: black;" title="blocked::http://www.london2012.com/"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none;" title="blocked::http://www.london2012.com/">London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic
Games</span></span></a>. All the events are free and there's something for
everyone. Tri-Dosha made it to the Africa Stage at London Pleasure Gardens yesterday! Super impressive!</span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: x-small;"><span style="color: black; font-family: Corbel; font-size: 11pt;">And finally, our good friend and gifted Naturopath, Max Tomlinson, is our recommended 5-star health and fitness week. His holidays come with a seriously healthy attitude. you can join him on one of his new health and fitness program's hosted at the beautiful 5-star Rosa Alpina hotel in the Italian Dolomites and at the multi-award winning Forte Village Resort in Sardinia. <div class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; mso-margin-top-alt: auto;">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Calibri;">This year is flying by too quickly, but
it’s been an exciting mid-year for to 2012. I’ve recently returned from a
fantastic trip to Dorset, where, among many
other things, I was looking for quirky venues to run our therapist retreat
programmes from. There was one thing that really stood out as being at the top of
the venue proprietors list for discussion – recycling, rubbish and waste. In
the city, we are provided with a wide range of services to recycle household waste,
but beyond that, the message gets diluted. I was really amazed at the
initiatives in the country, with an aim to divert as much as possible away from
landfill and recycling it into reusable materials or carbon efficient energy.
Materials collected and recycled locally include bulky waste; cardboard
recycling; carpet recycling; food waste, green waste and plasterboard recycling.

took place at tree houses, cabins, yurts and more. We particularly liked the Mongolian
yurt, which can be booked through Go Glamping: <a href="http://goglamping.net/united-kingdom/stock-gaylard-estate-dorset/"><span style="color: black;">http://goglamping.net/united-kingdom/stock-gaylard-estate-dorset/</span></a>.
I also got a fantastic view of Dorset from
Corton Denham Beacon, and would have loved to have pitched a tent up on the
hill (in style of course!). </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<span style="color: black; font-family: Calibri;">On the subject
of behind the scenes activity, immediately on my return, I looked at the breathtaking
pictures of Dorset, and it reminded me of a motto
I came across many a time in my previous career as a journalist ‘A picture is worth
a thousand words…’ This took me back to the striking work of our photographer
in capturing the essence of Tri-Dosha, and which now make our website a
fantastic platform for promoting our range of products and treatments. Not only
are the images well captured, they are well designed as well, allowing each
page to tell our story. For more on this wonderful lady, please see: <a href="http://www.stephanieswann.co.uk/"><span style="color: black;">www.stephanieswann.co.uk</span></a>.</span></div>

a star in her own right. Her new adventure - establishing an organic
